  • Overview of the new features and key technologies in HP ProLiant Gen8 servers
  • HP Services Media Library, self-repair services, and online documentation

After completing this module, you should be able to:

Describe the HP ProLiant Server family

Identify the new features and technologies of HP ProLiant eighth-generation (Gen8) servers

List the operating systems supported on ProLiant servers

Module 2: HP integrated Lights-Out

  • Introduction to HP iLO 4 and its features
  • Review of the HP iLO Web Administration Interface
  • Introduction to the Integrated Remote Console

After completing this module, you should be able to:

Describe HP Lights-Out management

Explain HP integrated Lights-Out (iLO) 4 functionality

Identify key features included in the iLO Advanced license

Explain how to configure and use iLO and its Web Administration Interface

Describe the options in the HP Integrated Remote Console

Module 3: Configuration using Option ROM

  • Introduction to the HP ROM-Based Setup Utility (RBSU) and boot process
  • Features of the RBSU and configuration steps
  • Advanced iLO 4 configuration by means of the RBSU
  • Option ROM Configuration for Arrays (ORCA)
  • Accessing the RBSU and Intelligent Provisioning
